After Cancel
When your subscription ends, you get a short read-only window to view boards and copy figures. After that window closes, the account and all its data are deleted permanently.
The read-only window
After the final day of your paid period, the account stops recording new visits. You may still log in with your access key during the read-only window shown at cancellation. Boards display exactly as they were when counting stopped — daily trends, referrers, resolution classes, and page groups remain visible.
Configuration changes are blocked during read-only. You cannot add or remove sites, change filters, or regenerate keys. The account is an archive you may browse, not an environment you may operate. Plan your copying work accordingly.
The window length appears in the cancellation confirmation in account settings. It is not indefinite. StatelessID does not send a separate reminder message — there is no email address on file for the account. Mark the date yourself when you cancel.
Permanent deletion when the window closes
When read-only ends, deletion is complete. Site registrations, historical counts, keys, and settings are removed. The access key stops working. There is no partial retention, anonymized archive, or later recovery path.
Copy anything you need before the window expires. Screenshots, spreadsheets, and manual notes are your export tools. Once deletion runs, support cannot reconstruct boards from memory.
Work through the board methodically if history spans many months. Note monthly totals, top page groups, and referrer hosts that mattered for decisions you still need to justify. The read-only window is short enough that procrastination becomes data loss.
Deletion targets StatelessID data only. HTML on your web server — including leftover script tags — is your responsibility. StatelessID does not reach into your hosting to remove tags.
Script tags after closure
Deactivated site keys still allow the browser to run asset.js if the tag remains installed. Beacons fire and the server drops them without error. Visitors see no difference. Your server logs or network panel may still show outbound requests to the collect endpoint.
Remove tags from templates when you know you are done. CMS users should edit the theme or injection plugin. Static sites need each HTML file updated. The cleanup is ordinary housekeeping, not a StatelessID requirement.
A future return requires new registrations and new site keys even for the same hostnames. Old data-k values never work again after closure.
Starting again
Visit /pricing to open a new subscription when you are ready. Checkout issues a new access key shown once on the confirmation page. Register sites from scratch and install fresh keys. Prior period history does not import.
You may subscribe while an old account is still in its read-only window. The accounts do not merge. Use the old key only to view legacy boards; use the new key for new work.
If /pricing shows signup closed because the platform reached its customer cap, you cannot create a replacement account until capacity frees. Treat cancellation as final when cap conditions apply.
Troubleshooting
If login fails with an unrecognized key after cancellation, the read-only window may have ended. If you believe the date should still be open, contact support with your access key and cancellation date.
If network panels still show collect requests after closure, remove the script tag from your templates. Those requests are orphaned beacons, not evidence that counting resumed.
